What I have in stock changes. Right now there are a few wallets made up and sitting here, and you can buy one of those as it is.
Everything else I make to order. You pick the cloth and the lining, and then I pull or buy the cloth and cut it for your piece. It's worth settling all of that before I start.
I ask for half up front, once we've agreed the cloth and lining. The other half is due when the piece is finished, before I post it or hand it to you.
If it's going in the post, I'll send you a photo of the finished wallet and you can pay the balance then. That way you're not paying for something you haven't seen.
Postage is on you. I send everything USPS Priority Mail, which comes with tracking and $100 of insurance. If your order is worth more than that, I buy cover for the rest so the parcel is insured for what's actually in it. Postage and insurance both go onto the balance instead of being billed separately. If we're meeting up, there's nothing to pay.
If a parcel goes missing or turns up damaged, I'm the one who files the claim. Send me a photo if the box arrives in a state and I'll take it from there.
Three weeks is the usual turnaround, counted from the day we settle the cloth rather than from your first email. I can't schedule a commission until I know what it's made of.
If you change your mind before I cut, you get the whole deposit back. I'd rather you ended up with the wallet you wanted.
Once I've cut, it's different. A length of cloth can go to whoever wants it next, right up until I cut it to pattern. After that it's pieces that only fit your wallet, and the cloth is spent whether the piece gets finished or not. That's when the deposit stops being refundable. If you're still deciding, tell me and I'll leave the cloth alone until you've made up your mind.
If you want something made, get in touch and we'll figure out the best choice of cloth for your needs and preferences.
